These medicines help with pain in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Voltaren is used to relieve inflammation (arthritis) of the joints and the source of pain in rheumatoid arthritis in adults.

Voltaren can be used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Uses of Voltaren in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis

Voltaren is used to reduce pain and inflammation of the joints (arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis) in adults and is used to reduce the risk of osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease of the stomach, esophagus, intestines, biliary tract, stomach and intestines, brain, lungs and other organs) in adults.

Voltaren should be used in combination with other medicines to relieve the following symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis:

Using too much medicine may cause side effects, such as heart problems or blood pressure to drop suddenly. Call your doctor for medical advice. You may receive medical tests at the same time as you receive a prescription.

You should check the for symptoms of osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis symptoms such as swelling, pain, tenderness, joint pain, stiffness, stiffness and/or inflammation. If symptoms persist for more than 6 hours, you may need urgent medical treatment.

Do not use Voltaren if you:

  • have stomach or intestinal ulcers
  • are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or any of the other ingredients of the product
  • have liver or kidney problems
  • have an allergic reaction to other NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and others)

Tell your doctor if you:

  • have asthma
  • have heart problems (heart medications)
  • have kidney problems

These are not all the more troublesome side effects of diclofenac potassium.

In addition, some of these side effects may disappear after a few days or even weeks if they do not persist for longer than 3 months. If you do not get relief from the symptoms within 3 months of your usual treatment, you may need urgent medical treatment. The signs of a serious side effect may include an allergic reaction (wheezing) or swelling, chest pain, fast or irregular heartbeats or blood pressure, sweating, breathing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, fever, dark colored urine, and blistering skin or mucus.

Usage Advice

Do not wrap tightly around your body as Voltaren can cause difficulty in applying the gel. Do not use the product for more than 3 days and in the hospital as it may break down.Do not take by mouth, as Voltaren does not contain iron, zinc or any other medications that could interfere with its working. Ask your doctor if you need more pain relief, and any other questions. Voltaren contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is an internal drug that travels through your body and causes pain. Do not apply the product in the breast area or in the breast for more than 2 weeks without talking to your doctor.While applying Voltaren Emulgel application is essential to reduce inflammation and to prevent the product from reaching the area where you are treating. Your doctor will do a visual test to determine if Voltaren is most effective. Do not stop using the product; do not exceed the recommended dose. If using the product for longer than recommended, do not apply to skin for any longer than recommended. For medical advice on how to use Voltaren Emulgel avoid alcohol consumption while applying it and for at least 2 weeks after applying the product.While Voltaren Emulgel treatment is not recommended, you can apply it as often as recommended by your doctor. Description:Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength Gel is formulated to provide relief for acute, localized, minor muscle or joint injuries and contains diclofenac diethylamine, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This gel has a mild scent that disappears as the gel penetrates the skin and can be applied every 12 hours.

Indications:For relief of aches and pain associated with acute, localized minor muscle or joint injuries such as sprains, strains, or sports injuries (e.g. ankle sprain, shoulder strain, back muscle pain, etc.)

Dosage for Adults Aged 18 to 65 Years:

  • Apply 2 grams twice a day (morning and evening) on the painful area using the dosing card supplied. Do not use more than 4 grams per day.
  • Voltaren Emulgel Extra Strength can be used for up to 7 days for muscle/joint injuries. See a doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve within 7 days.

Voltaren gel and cream can be used to relieve joint pain and inflammation. You should use Voltaren gel and cream at least twice a day, with or without food. Do not use Voltaren gel and cream together or on a regular basis without the guidance of your doctor. Do not use Voltaren gel and cream on children or adolescents under the age of 18 years.

Voltaren gel and cream can be used to treat pain caused by inflammation (joint pain) and/or the swelling (pain in the joints) that occurs in joints that are inflamed. Voltaren gel and cream can be used to relieve inflammation and swelling in joint and muscle (arthritis and rheumatism).

Voltaren gel and cream should not be used to treat pain caused by other causes (such as cancer or other injuries), or for other purposes not described in this leaflet.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, chills, joint pain, or soreness, contact your doctor immediately.

You should avoid using Voltaren gel and cream if you have or have had any of these serious side effects, including:

  • Irregular or painful menstrual periods
  • Jaundice
  • Severe skin reactions
  • Increased risk of lumbar discoloration or discoloration
